What is Holiday Friends?

Holiday Friends is a travel social platform that connects travellers with friendly local residents across Southeast Asia for cultural experiences, city tours, dining, and meeting new friends in town.
How does pricing work?

Holiday Friends is free to use during our launch period. Every new traveller receives a welcome point balance on sign-up and can spend it freely to chat with locals and unlock profiles. We may introduce paid subscription plans once the community is established; if so, registered users will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance.
What qualifications do local friends need?

Any local resident aged 20 or above in our supported countries can apply. All profiles are manually reviewed and approved by our team before going live. We look for genuine, friendly people who want to share their city with travellers.
What if a local friend declines my request?

If a local friend declines your connection request, your points are fully refunded to your balance automatically.

Holiday Friends currently covers Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and the Philippines, with more countries coming soon.
How do I report inappropriate behavior?

You can report any profile or user directly from their profile page using the report button. Our team reviews all reports and takes action within 24–48 hours.
